Hindi Translation
यह आरती शनि देव की स्तुति करती है, जो सूर्य देव और छाया माता के पुत्र हैं। उन्हें न्याय के देवता के रूप में पूजा जाता है, जो सभी के कर्मों का फल देते हैं और भक्तों के कष्ट दूर करते हैं।
English Translation
This aarti venerates Shanidev, the son of Surya (the Sun god) and Chhaya, worshipped as the deity of justice who grants each soul the fruits of their own karma. Devotees pray to him for relief from hardship and the ill effects of Shani’s transit.
Significance
How to Chant?
Offer mustard oil, black til (sesame), and iron items at Shani dev’s idol/image, light a mustard-oil diya, and sing the aarti while circling the lamp; visiting a Shani temple on Saturday is traditional.
Number of Repetitions
Once weekly on Saturdays; repeated during Shani Jayanti and Sade Sati remedial pujas.
Best Time to Chant
Saturday evenings, and especially on Shani Jayanti and Amavasya (new moon) Saturdays.
